This year’s Oscar Academy Awards were filled with controversy and confusion. However, Skyline Marketing has looked passed this and shared how they took inspiration on what it takes to be the best in your industry from the event.

2017’s Oscar Academy Awards ceremony was filled with glamorous celebs, and plenty of awards, for one film in particular, La La Land. However, it wasn’t all plain sailing and there was a huge amount of awards style drama surrounding a wrong envelope being given to award announcers, Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway. La La Land was announced as the winner of Best Picture when in fact, the real winner was Moonlight.

Despite this mix-up, the awards were still as glamorous as ever and a great occasion to celebrate those at the top of their game. Skyline Marketing, a Liverpool-based sales and marketing firm watched the ceremony with the hopes of learning from these individuals who are all the best at what they do.

Skyline Marketing believes that acting is a very competitive industry and all of the Oscar winners are those who are at the top of their game and the best of the best. Additionally, the firm reveals how sales is also a very competitive industry and, in order to be the best, a person must outperform everyone else, very much like those actors and actresses at the Oscars.

Skyline Marketing has been incredibly inspired by everyone at the Oscars and how they are always competing to be the best and earn recognition for this. The firm has also been inspired by previous Oscar winners such as Matthew McConaughey who took to the stage to deliver a fantastic speech when he won an award for Best Actor in 2014. The actor told everyone that a person only needs three things each day: 1 – Something to look up to. 2 – Something to look forward to. 3 – Something to chase.

Taking inspiration from this speech, Skyline Marketing tries to provide these stimuli for their independent contractors by providing an open door policy meaning that everyone within the firm has access to mentors to look up to and gain advice from. Additionally, the firm provides regular events and activities as well as progression opportunities to look forward to and motivate individuals. Furthermore, the firm covers the third point by giving their contractors the opportunity to pursue entrepreneurial dreams and therefore they are chasing the dream of becoming a business owner on a daily basis.

Skyline Marketing is an outsourced sales and marketing firm based in Liverpool. The firm specialises in a personalised form of direct marketing which allows them to create unique marketing campaigns in order to represent their clients on a face-to-face basis. These personalised campaigns often lead to increased customer acquisition, brand awareness and brand loyalty for their clients.

Skyline Marketing seeks inspiration from numerous sources in order to motivate and drive their independent contractors. Managing Director Jamie Talbot believes that inspiration lies all around and can be taken from all areas of life, not just similar industry standings.
