Growth and increasing demand for Skyline Marketing Ltd’s services may be due to the popularity and success Birmingham has experienced throughout 2013. The outsourced direct marketing firm exceeded growth targets by 2.6% in the 3rd quarter of 2013, and aims to grow by 15% in 2014.
Skyline Marketing Ltd reports that Birmingham has been experiencing a surge in popularity both as a tourist destination and as centre for small business growth. Travel agent Expedia reports that Birmingham is 2013’s fastest-growing destination for the Christmas holiday season, with bookings up by 118% on last year. Birmingham beat closest contenders Sydney (93%) and the Canary Islands (91%) by a significant margin, and is also the most popular choice for Britons who choose to remain in the UK. Skyline Marketing Ltd managing director Jamie Talbot believes that Birmingham is the ideal tourist destination due to its culture, nightlife, and shopping. “Birmingham has seen a great deal of development over the last twenty years, and the architecture of the city is a major attraction, from the Bull Ring development to the New Street train station. Birmingham has nightlife to rival London and Manchester, incredible food, and outstanding cultural events such as the Birmingham Royal Ballet and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. Overall, it’s a fascinating and diverse city, and I am so proud that Skyline Marketing Ltd is able to be a part of it,” says Jamie Talbot, managing director of Skyline Marketing Ltd.
In addition to being a major tourist destination, Birmingham has a thriving business community, Skyline Marketing Ltd reveals. Famed for being the birthplace of Cadburys, today Birmingham is becoming a hub for international trade. Marketing Birmingham’s Regional Observatory reports that two thirds of the city’s SMEs expect to increase their turnover and profits in the next year. Half of these businesses are targeting export markets and a third will expect to see their export sales increase in the next 12 months. Skyline Marketing Ltd suggests that Birmingham’s success in international markets is due in part to businesses’ willingness to look beyond the Eurozone and trade with emerging markets such as China, India, and Brazil. Skyline Marketing Ltd’s Jamie Talbot also credits the availability of business development advice and seminars throughout the city, such as the Transformation for Growth Project which was launched this September. Skyline Marketing Ltd has been providing business advice workshops to entrepreneurs based in the Birmingham area since 2011, and managing director Jamie Talbot is impressed with the business talent located in the city: “At Skyline Marketing Ltd we feel that the cultural diversity of Birmingham, as well as the presence of four universities, has created a dynamic, motivated talent pool. 2014 looks set to be a very promising year for Birmingham,” says Jamie Talbot of Skyline Marketing Ltd.
